Description of Client and needs:
The Outpatient Pavilion’s layout was designed to promote patient-centered care in a healing environment and offer “one-stop shopping.” The goal was to organize the outpatient clinical services in a way that made sense for patients and pair together practices that frequently collaborate.
Scope of Project:
Each of its eight floors had a design theme that included trees or grasses native to Connecticut, and colors and artwork that were warm, welcoming, and nurturing.
Using the design theme and color palette of each floor as a starting point, artwork was selected to provide a natural and soothing environment for both patients and staff. Photographs of familiar locations in the region were provided for each exam room. Over 650 pieces of art were ultimately selected, framed and installed by HFA personnel.
