New Canaan, CT
Description of Client and needs:
Silver Hill is a nationally recognized, non-profit hospital for the treatment of psychiatric and addictive disorders. They require works of art that evoke a sense of healing and wellness. Artwork selection requires particular sensitivity to subject matter given their patient base.
Scope of Project:
Provide artwork for Transitional Housing, the Pain Management Center and Outpatient Programs – Group Rooms and Offices
In the treatment areas artwork was selected considering evidence based design which for this client meant soothing images of nature and positive human interaction. In transitional housing, the approach was to select artwork that was more suited to a residence. One of the transitional homes was specifically for teenagers so much of the artwork was colorful, contemporary, graphic and had a sense of fun.
